Heroes - Season 2 Spoilers
-The yet-to-be-titled Season 2 premiere will introduce new series regular Maya, a Hispanic woman in her mid 20s. Could she be linked with Alejandro who'll recur next season?
-The episode will also introduce Kane, a recurring character that may become a possible regular. This man in his late 20s is referred, in the info we were given, as an ageless American with an European feel. He is said to be a charming womanizer who as a soul that seems to be older than he appears to be.
-A new Japanese recurring female character will be named Princess Keriyama.
-A few high school characters living in California will be added to the recurring cast. They are: Gay cheerleader April; charming 18-year-old West, who doesn't fit in much; May, a mean cheerleader high schooler.
-Other recurring characters making their first appearances in the premiere are: Georgie and Blackie, two Irish thieves, who are under orders of 45ish ringleader Ricky; friendly 40-year-old mild-mannered Bob who is said to be the "unassuming face of a very powerful organization"; NYPD detective Kincaid.
The second episode will introduce new regular Monica. She is a beautiful African-American in her late 20s. She is very kind to people and always thinks of them before taking care of herself.
According to Reuters, four new regulars would be added to the show, including a new boyfriend for Claire (could it be West listed in our spoilers above?) and a black woman who is said to be Micah's surrogate mother (Monica?). The article says that recurrings like Ricky may do arcs instead of being regulars.
Heroes - Volume Two (2007-2008) - Generations
In a recent interview with E! Online Tim Kring said: "There are plans to add one new, one big character next season." He also stated that the "Heroes" that remain are likely to stick around, because he's changed his MO. "I thought Heroes was going to have an ever-shifting cast," he says, "but the cast hit in such big ways that now the challenge is to figure out how to use them all and still fold in a couple of new people, because I still think that the origin stories are the most fascinating, in some ways." [5] Masi Oka, who portrays Hiro Nakamura, recently said in an interview with Sci-Fi Wire, “I think it’s great the way the finale ends… It’s a wrapping up of volume one, which is called ‘Genesis.’ And it wraps up the whole bomb storyline. So it’s a nice finale, and there’s a great cliffhanger with everybody, I would say. And you do get to see a little bit of volume two, which is called ‘Generations.’” [6]. Tim Kring also revealed that although he plans to keep most of the "surviving cast" with the addition of a couple of new faces, Season 2 will start off with the heritage and lineage of some of the major heroes families, including the first generation of heroes (Mr. Linderman, the Petrelli Family, Charles Deveaux, and Kaito Nakamura, among others.)[7] This season will have a total of 24 episodes. Some additional new characters that have been announced, but not cast yet, include, according to Kring, a boyfriend for Claire, a 28-year-old black mother, a surrogate for Micah, an Irish mobster, and a twenty-something-year-old Latina.
Volume Two begins at the conclusion of "How to Stop an Exploding Man". Hiro Nakamura lands in the middle of a seventeenth-century battlefield near Kyoto, Japan. Kensei is about to begin a battle with another family when the event is interrupted by an annular eclipse.
Heroes - Volume One (2006-2007) - Genesis
The plot of Heroes is designed to be similar to the stories of comic books. Like comic books, Heroes has large overall arcs and small arcs within the main arc. No matter what characters exist and what events make up a season, all seasons of Heroes will involve ordinary people who discover their abilities and their reactions to their self-discovery.
Each episode reveals new answers and questions and progresses the story and/or the characters. There is an overall arc of the first season that revolves around stopping an explosion of immense proportions that happens in the future. That arc is initially carried by two characters, Hiro Nakamura and Isaac Mendez, where the former saw the act in the future and the latter painted it from his visions.
The first four episodes of the first season primarily revolved around characters discovering their powers, dealing with the issues of normal life and coping with the consequences of their discovery.
At the end of the fourth episode, a smaller arc began with the message "Save the cheerleader, save the world", which is tied to the explosion already foreseen. By the end of that arc, the characters slowly discovered their abilities and the existence of others like them, and some of them even began to realize the need to come together to prevent a catastrophe.
As characters progress through the first season learning of others similar to them, the plot turns to the question of how the explosion seen in Hiro's trip to the future and Isaac's paintings will occur and what role the various characters will play to stop it or cause it.
